4th February 2016 – Achieving Business Growth Event

When: Tuesday 16th February at 8.00am to 10.30am

This is an informative session where businesses will not only learn the importance of Social Media to help grow their business and how the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub can benefit their business. Businesses will also gain a valuable insight into funding and guidance to support training and development of their staff.

Effective Social Media

The growing popularity of networking sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter within the business, mean it can no longer be ignored.

Using LinkedIn and Twitter allows a business to develop a brand awareness, customer engagement and the development of an expert position for yourself and your business.

This session will include the following areas:

• Optimising your Personal LinkedIn account

• Setting up a LinkedIn Business Page

• Using LinkedIn to target prospective customers

• Making the most of your Twitter Profile

• A look at a couple of the tools to make Social Media more efficient

Andrew Greenyer – Director of Raise the Roof Marketing

Andrew runs a Marketing Consultancy, Raise the Roof Marketing, specialising in digital marketing techniques including website optimisation and social media. Previously he was Head of Marketing Business Link Northwest providing business support and information services to SMEs.

Andrew is also a Fellow of The Institute of Direct Marketing, a member of the Institute of Directors and is a regular conference speaker and guest University Lecturer.

Carole Timperley – Director of Business Development and Partnerships

Carole joined Mid Cheshire College in May 2008 as Head of Employer Services and was appointed as Director of Business Development and Partnerships in December 2014.  Carole has a wealth of experience in Employer Engagement and Apprenticeship delivery.  She has successfully steered the Apprenticeship programme at Mid Cheshire, ensuring it works for local employers.  The College has achieved a 94% success rate for the provision of young people aged 16-18 against a national average of 71% and is the third highest provider in the UK of apprenticeships for those aged 19-23.  Prior to joining the College she worked for several large national providers and the funding authority.
