20 May 2014 – A family fun day has been organised by Council Greenspace Rangers at Rivacre Valley Country Park in Ellesmere Port on Wednesday May 28.

Between 11am and 3pm there will be lots of craft activities and games for children, as well as story telling, bush craft, bracelet and bead making. You can also create dragonfly models and undertake a nature walk.

The event is aimed at 5 to 16 year olds and there may be a small charge for some of the craft activities.

The nature walk will take roughly 20 minutes and during the short, circular tour a ranger will point out insects and trees.

Story telling will involve mythical characters and the environment.

Greenspace Ranger Tim Lloyd said: “Craft work will involve natural and man made materials and a great deal of planning has taken place to make sure that there is something of interest for everyone.

“So please come along to Rivacre Valley Country Park on May 28th and join in what promises to be a fun day.”

Once at the car park follow the signs until you reach the park meadow area where the activities will be taking place.
